The Sackets Harbor Battlefield historic site staff prepare for the “path of totality in 2024” with this summer’s first evening of star-gazing. This telescopic astronomy evening with Si-Tech Center of NNY staff introduces the night sky. Site staff relate the history of earlier eclipses that Sackets Harbor citizens and military personnel in the community had experienced. Location is the lawn west of the red barn. Bring a red-light for way-finding, binoculars & insect repellant. If inclement weather, event moves to Sat July 29.
