Eclipse Viewing-Antique Boat Museum

The Antique Boat Museum, North America’s premier freshwater boating museum based in Clayton, New York, announces the Museum campus will be open April 8th, 10am – 5pm, to view the Total Solar Eclipse. Located along the St. Lawrence River, the Museum’s 4.5-acre campus is an optimum location to view the eclipse in totality. The Museum grounds and the Elizabeth and Bolling Haxall Building will be open for eclipse viewers. There is NO admission fee to enter the campus and view the eclipse. Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase in the Museum Store. Dogs will be restricted to service dogs only. A limited number of eclipse glasses will be available on a first come, first serve basis. This is a family friendly event.

The Museum’s second FREE Homer L. Dodge Lecture of the year will be a prelude to the 2024 Solar Eclipse on April 5th at 5:30pm. Retired SUNY Oswego Adjunct Astronomy Professor John Rusho, also a year-round volunteer at the Museum, will be presenting on celestial navigation.
